Art Directed Photoshoots

Purpose: Create social posts that push engagement for users to spark inspiration by trends and new product showcases.

Process: Work with product and marketing to align photoshoots with new product releases and movie releases. Coordinate photoshoot with cake decorators and photographer. Research and plan the style of the photoshoot to align with the licensed property. Style and art direct the photoshoot so the images align with the branding of the property. Edit photos and animated GIFs and provide to Marketing.

Comped Social Assets

Purpose: Create social posts that push engagement for users to spark inspiration by trends and new product showcases.

Process: Receives request from marketing to showcase a new product on our social media. Sometimes this may come from a customer (i.e., Publix) or a licensed partner (i.e., NHL, Disney, Marvel). If we don’t have studio availability or it is a tight deadline, I will comp the social image in Photoshop. Boston Bruins cake was requested by NHL to post on their Instagram page. I created the image in Photoshop – the cake was designed and decorated and shot on white. I combined a stock image of a marble counter top, to mimick a sheet of ice, and created the dark grey gradient background to play off the black in the cake. Added shadows and adjusted lighting to blend the image. The barbie image was also created in Photoshop. The Barbie cakes were all shot individually on white backgrounds. The background is a stock image. I added shadows and added a blur so the image blended.
